Today, all of here at Silksoundbooks want to wish a very happy birthday to our star audio book reader Toby Stephens.
Toby was born into an acting family in London on April 21st 1969, the son of
Dame Maggie Smith and
Robert Stephens. He trained at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art and his career has included film, television, stage and of course, audiobooks! Recent credits include the BBC adaptation of
Jane Eyre and the Bond movie
Die Another Day.
Toby's recent theatre appearances include
A Doll’s House at the Donmar and
The Country Wife at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Toby is currently starring in a new production of Tom Stoppard's deeply moving and startlingly funny play
The Real Thing at the Old Vic in London.
