Watch out for Silksoundbooks audio book star reader
Rufus Sewell in the movie
Vinyan released last week in cinemas and today on DVD.
Apparently, when someone dies a horrible death, their spirit becomes confused and angry. It becomes
‘Vinyan’.
Six months after losing her only child in the Asian tsunami disaster, Jeanne,
(Emmanuelle Béart), is convinced she's seen footage of him in a film about orphans living in the jungles of Burma. While her husband, played by
Rufus, is worried that she’s losing her mind, he still agrees to take her to search for their son together.
Introduced to a dangerous gang of human traffickers, they soon find themselves alone and stranded in the middle of a treacherous jungle, where they come face to face with horrors both earthly and ungodly. Drug smugglers threaten their lives, they are set upon by a band of rabid, feral children and it seems that their search for their son has led them to a fate more horrific than death.
If, like me, you are a huge fan of
Rufus Sewell, but not overly keen on horror movies, I've got a suggestion.
The History of the Adventures of Joseph Andrews and his Friend Mr Abraham Adams may be a very long title, but it is a hugely entertaining audio book. Written by
Henry Fielding it follows Joseph Andrews' journey as footman to the rather dippy Parson Adams on thier journey through the English countryside. And at only £7.95 for nearly 12 hours of entertainment it beats the cinema for value any day!
