If you missed Silksoundbooks’ star audio book reader
Colin Salmon in The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency on BBC 1 on Sunday, make a note to catch it next week.
The series, sadly only available to UK viewers at the moment, follows the exploits of Precious Ramotswe, the traditionally built, eminently sensible and wise proprietor of the only female-owned detective agency in Botswana and is based on the novels by Alexander McCall Smith.
Precious investigates cases, helps people solve problems in their lives and soon finds a special friendship blossoming with JLB Matekoni, the highly respectable and slightly shy owner of Speedy Motors. He once proposed unsuccessfully and now faces competition from the returning Note Mokoti, Ramotswe’s philandering ex-husband, played wonderfully by
Colin Salmon.
