Happy Birthday to star Silksoundbooks audio book reader
David Warner who was born in Manchester on July 29th. After training at RADA, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, his professional stage debut was at the Royal Court in January 1962, playing Snout, in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
From then on he has enjoyed a hugely varied career. From stage plays to movies, computer games to TV shows, David's amazing talent and offbeat looks have seen him cast as evil villains as well as roles as the nice guy. In August 2007, as an RSC Honorary Artist, he returned to Stratford for the first time in over 40 years to play Falstaff in Henry IV making him the only British actor to have played Hamlet, Lear and Falstaff in major theatrical productions.
We were thrilled when David decided to read
Robinson Crusoe for Silksoundbooks. His masterly telling of the
Daniel Defoe classic is available to download only from silksoundbooks.com
