This week sees the UK DVD release of the movie Dean Spanley starring not just one, but two Silksoundbooks star audio book readers!

Art Malik and Jeremy Northam join Peter O'Toole and Sam Neill in this captivating tale.

The year is 1904, and the narrator Henslowe Fisk, played by Jeremy , is locked into a ghastly ritual with his cantankerous elderly father Horatio (Peter O'Toole). One week, Henslowe decides to break the routine, and takes his father to a lecture on reincarnation by one Swami Nala Prash played by Art . There they meet a man called Dean Spanley (Sam Neill) and a self-proclaimed 'facilitator' from the Colonies called Wrather (Bryan Brown).

Henslowe, intrigued by his subsequent chance meetings with the Dean, invites him to dinner with the promise of a bottle of imperial tokay, a rare Hungarian wine. He soon discovers that when the Dean gets drunk on tokay, he gives vent to astonishing memories of his past life as a dog. This is definitely a film not to be missed - available on DVD now.
