1. Choosing and adding an audiobook to your basket

First, have a browse through our online audiobook catalogue and sample the audiobook. Each audiobook has a preview so you can hear the high quality performance within a couple of mouse-clicks. Any audiobooks that you like, add them to your shopping basket and either continue browsing or head to the checkout.

Next you will need to enter your details to create a silksoundbooks account or login if you are an existing customer. This will give you access to your audiobook download area.

Then proceed to the secure payment page (checkout) where you can either pay using a credit / debit card, or enter a gift certificate code. We do not store or keep any card details on our servers so you can be sure this is a safe and secure transaction.

Once payment is authorised you’ll be in your account area where you can get your audiobook download or view & change your details.

2. The Audiobook Download area

At the download area choose which format you wish to download your audiobook in, and which download method. If you’re not sure which format --click here--. We always recommend using the silksoundbooks downloader as the method of downloading your audiobook, but if you are having problems with it you can always use the browser based download.

It is important to allow the audio book download to complete 100% before you try and open the file or listening to the audio book.

3. Your audio book is now on your computer!

Once the file is downloaded to your computer you can transfer listen to it immediately or transfer it to your iPod / MP3 player. If you used the silksoundbooks downloader, you will find your download in the “My Silksoundbooks” folder in your documents folder, if you chose the browser download it will be in the default place you download to. Note – the MP3 format and some of the longer audiobook format books will be in a ZIP file and will need to be extracted for you to transfer to your MP3 player. Most computers will do this automatically when you click on the file, but you may need to download some additional 3rd party software, many of which are available free – we recommend izArc, which you can get --from here--
